about
Bryan Freedman (he/him) is a mixed-race actor, singer, musician, and artist of Indonesian and English/German-Jewish heritage, currently based in New York City and Philadelphia.
A recent graduate of NYU Tisch at New Studio on Broadway and The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, his skill and versatility have made him an invaluable asset when developing new musical theatre works. He recently premiered PigPen Theatre Co.'s The Phantom Folktales, and originated the role of Claes Oldenburg in The Oldenburg Suite by Matthew Dylan Rose and James Feinberg (Best of Fest award at the New York Musical Festival, Richard Rogers Award finalist). Following a sold-out show in January 2022, The Oldenburg Suite returned to Feinstein's/54 Below in April 2022 with a star-studded cast including Lauren Marcus (Be More Chill), Austin Ku (Soft Power), Nina White (Kimberly Akimbo) and Ben Roseberry (Lion King).
In January 2021, he released his debut The Hudson River Park EP, described as "a release of the claustrophobic stagnation that had been haunting his 2020" by Margaret Hall (now writing for Playbill). He is currently creating music under the name Saint Wilson.
